Although the only Hummer derived from a military vehicle model is long gone, the unmistakable Hummer look permeates the lineup. The bricklike shape and slotted chrome grille are immediately recognizable as Hummer styling cues.

Hummer's midsize H3 adds a truck model for 2009. The 4-door H3T offers Hummer styling and a short five-foot truck bed. Engine choices mirror that of the H3 SUV, including a 3.7L inline five-cylinder and a 5.3L V-8.

The future for Hummer is a bit unclear, as GM announced in 2008 their intention to sell, discontinue or restructure the Hummer brand.
