Overview Information

El Camino fans rejoice, because GM finally has an answer to your prayers. The Pontiac G8 sport truck features the same low-slung coupe/truck design that has been missing from the U.S. for decades. Although the sport truck is a derivative of the G8, it rides on a longer chassis to accommodate a 42.7 cubic foot bed. A 6.0L V8 rated at 361-bhp resides under the hood. A six-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel-drive complete the standard powertrain. The interior has seating for two. The G8 sport truck has a trailer-towing limit of 3500 lbs.

The sport truck is some 4 inches longer than the sedan to accommodate a 42.7 cubic foot truck bed. Power is provided by a 361-bhp, 6.0L V8 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
