2004 Paris Auto Show (Mondial de l'Automobile)
The 2004 Paris Auto Show (or Mondial de l'Automobile in French) is the last major European auto show of the year. It ranks with the Geneva and Frankfurt Motor Shows as a showcase for major automobile introductions. Not surprisingly, the Paris show has a decidedly European flavor, as automakers vie for customers in a varied and hotly contested market. Asian manufacturers have experienced strong sales growth recently, and it remains to be seen if the European automakers can use the Paris Auto Show to reverse their fortunes.
