2005 (39th) Tokyo Auto Show

The Tokyo Motor Show is a biennial exhibition that highlights the enormous product range of the Japanese automotive industry. Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and the other smaller domestic manufacturers use the Tokyo show to unveil significant Japanese and international market vehicles.

The Tokyo show usually brings to mind a number of creative concept cars hosted by wildly dressed models and the 2005 show did not disappoint. A number of significant new products were either introduced or shown in prototype/concept form including the eagerly awaited Nissan GT-R. The next-generation Lexus LS and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo were shown in concept form. New worldwide production vehicles like the Mitsubishi Outlander and V10-powered Audi S8 were introduced were shown alongside more whimsical vehicles like the Honda W.O.W. (with dog seating) and Nissan Pivo. In addition to cars, many motorcycles and technology displays show the versatility of the Japanese manufacturers.
