Nissan first small SUV for the US market

Overview Information

The Rogue is the first compact SUV (crossover) introduced by Nissan in the USA. Available in "S" and "SL" trim levels, both Rogue models are equipped with a 170-bhp 2.5L I-4. Nissan's Xtronic CVT, with optional paddle shifters, sends power to the front wheels or an optional AWD system. ABS, traction control, VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control), and 4-wheel disc brakes are standard. Steel 16-inch wheels with 215/70R16 tires are standard, but can be substituted with 17-inch alloy wheels and 225/60R17 tires. Options include a 7-speaker Bose audio system with MP3 capability, heated leather seats, cargo organizer, roof rail system, and xenon HID headlights.

What Changed:

The Rogue is an all-new compact sport utility model based on Nissan's C platform (Sentra). The Rogue features a 2.5L four-cylinder engine rated at 170 hp, 175 lb-ft of torque. A CVT transmission is standard. Both FWD and AWD versions are offered. Rogue features a fully-independent suspension.
