Once known for their motorcycles, Suzuki has steadily increased their lineup of cars seeking a larger piece of the lucrative U.S. market.

For 2009, Suzuki is dropping the Korean-built models inherited from a business relationship with GM. This leaves Suzuki with their solid SX4 compact sedan and crossover.

As part of its strategy to enter the truck market, Suzuki will begin selling two new pickups sourced from Nissan. The Equator pickup truck is essentially a Suzuki-badged variant of the Nissan Frontier. Offered in crew cab and extended cab models, the Equator provides Suzuki with a small truck to complement their lineup of SUVs.

Next up for Suzuki will be the launch of a mid-sized sedan.
